Indian weddings in the United States have taken on many characteristics of the western wedding. While the ceremony is still very traditional, the sangeet is a celebration with which Indian couples getting married can have some fun with themes. Electric Karma has designed and produced sangeets that have a western flair, complete with live armadillo and mechanical bull, to a sangeet themed as a nightclub with lounges areas, high-tech lighting and late-night dessert buffets filled with both Indian sweets and specialty desserts such as mini doughnuts and cotton candy drinks.
