Therese Cole-Hubbs, a 25-year veteran of the events industry and President and Creative Director of Houston-based Electric Karma International, is the nation’s leading multicultural wedding event planning and coordinating expert.  

Her firm, Electric Karma International was formed in response to the high demand for a wedding planner who could merge cultural traditions with contemporary wedding elements. As a result of Therese’s ability to seamlessly blend traditional customs and rituals with original cutting-edge ideas while bringing world class quality, service and style to her events Electric Karma has flourished! Since opening, Therese has produced more than 660 Indian weddings and launched associate offices in New York, Los Angeles, Ohio and India.  Electric Karma has assembled a network of resources and teams to coordinate weddings across the country and abroad.

In addition to running her world-renowned event business, Therese also serves on the Board of Directors of the Wedding Industry Professionals Association (WIPA)  as the Director of Professional Development, as well as on the advisory board of The International School of Hospitality (TISOH). She is a member of The International Caterers Association and the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE).  She serves as an active member of India House, a non-profit designed to promote Indian culture and values by providing social, cultural, recreational and community programs, showcasing the Indian community and raising awareness about Indian culture in the local community. Therese is honored to be producing their 2014 Gala.

Therese Cole-Hubbs is an advocate for education in the hospitality industry. She is a  regular educator and guest presenter at The Event Solutions Conference, The Special Event Conference, National Association of Catering Executives National Conference, Wedding Industry Professional Association and The Wedding MBA.

Electric Karma recently garnered the attention of David Tutera.   In March 2012 she appeared on Mr. Tutera’s popular WeTV series, My Fair Wedding With David Tutera, as one of the experts featured in an Asian Fusion episode.  In 2014, Therese starred in a series on the E-HOW network as an expert on Indian Wedding Traditions and Attire. She has also made a guest appearances on Hum Tum Forum Radio show and Wedding Market Chat.  

As her popularity continues to grow, Therese has been recognized with several prestigious awards. Event Solutions Magazine, the premier event industry publication, named her one of the “Top Wedding Innovators for 2011.”  In 2012, Ms. Cole-Hubbs and the Electric Karma team joined a select group of recipients to receive a Pinnacle Award from the Better Business Bureau’s Education Foundation for Metropolitan Houston honoring accredited businesses and charities that maintain a superior commitment to ethics, overall excellence and quality in the workplace.   In 2014 Electric Karma was presented with the Excellence Award for Therese's outstanding service and contribution to the Indo-American Chamber Gala.
